What are you asking for Christmas?
Posted by tigerman on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 6:57 PM
Well, I cheated a little. I ordered a Tamiya Cromwell and Bradley during Greatmodels big sale. However, I want a Badger Anthem A.B. for some finer work. Of course, Dragon's new Tiger and King Tiger are my list also. So what is everyone asking Santa.....er Mrs. Claus for Christmas? Big Smile [:D]

I asked for the Dragon Tiger P, the Dragon Pz I, the Tamiya Marder M and Tamiya's 1/32nd F-16 model (for a change of pace) Whether I get all of them is up to Mrs. Claus

Actually, I'm not "asking" for anything.

However, tomorrow Mr. UPS should arrive with:

Concord Pubs 7043 - Panzers in North Africa
Tamiya 35220 - Kubelwagen Engine Maintenance Set
Dragon 6233 - SdKfz 251 Ausf D 3-in-1 Kit
Italeri 297 - Zis-5 Light Truck Kit
Maquette 3571 - PzKpfw I Ausf A Kit

Then next week, Mr. UPS will have:

Dragon 6224 - SdKfz 251 Ausf C 3-in-1 Kit
AFV Club 35S26 - SdKfz 251 Ausf D w/PaK 40 Limited Run Kit
AFV Modeller #18 Magazine

I think that will do it for Christmas...unless Santa (me) decides that I need something else.

Happy Holidays...

I asked for a Dremmel tool and some more modelling supplies. These are from my relatives back home though. I want to pick up the Academy M3 Stuart kit too but I will prolly buy that as soon as my Stuart book gets here.

Well this pesky oath I forced upon myself about not buying any new kits until I finish my stash is really getting in the way.
I have compiled a list of books,
Funklenk...
Tiger Project with Rubbel....
a whole bunch but no one has asked my wife yet so things look bleak...

That Dragon 3 in 1 251 looks sweet though. So does the RevellAG 1/72 FAMOs.. If anyone out there is interested.

I'd ask for more time to build MM, but would probably only achieve it by breaking aleg or something.

I'd like to amend my answer to having Mr. Foster's UPS driver to head a bit north and have the packages 'fall off his truck' on my block. Wink [;)]

Well, a few of things:

1. Since Mrs. Claus doesn't really know much about modelling, she gave the go ahead to take it upon myself to pick something out - so I did. I am now the happy owner of an Iwata Revolution CR - best toy ever! - and a Panzerspahwagen 223- I couldn't resist - its just looked so little and helpless in the store window!

2. More time with my wife and kids over the holidays.

3. More time to model when everyone else is all snug in their beds.

4. A safe and happy holiday for all of the troops overseas in Afghanistan, Iraq, and everywhere else. Hopefully they will be able to return home soon.

Foster, you might want to warn your UPS driver of a possible hijacking situation

Found out tonite Christmas is coming early for me. My dad got some bonus money and cleaned out my GM wish list, so soon my UPS guy will be arriving (with an armed escort, I hope) with:

Academy Jackson + the Eduard interior and exterior detail kits
Dragon Tiger (P)
Dragon Sd. Kfz 250/11 w/Panzerbrusche 41
Stuart Honey detail kit
Jordi Rubio barrel for the Elefant

Plus I'm still in line for the Badger 360 from my wife (which, unfortunately, I won't be getting until Christmas)

But above all the health and happiness of my family and friends and you and yours.

Happy Holidays, Pete

You might want to venture to the Painting and A.B. Forum to get lots of answers. Badger's, Paasches, Iwatas etc. I personally swear by Badger's. Owned two of them and now want the Double action Anthem.

I'm getting a big lump of coal! I ran afoul of the 'armor' sale GreatModels ran in early November! Like the government I over-spent my budget (like for about 6 months). The only redeeming thing was it was all 'on sale'! The Mrs. does appreciate 'sales'!

Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D] My Mrs. loves to get home with sacks of goodies and brashly brag about all the money she saved me by buying everything she didn't need on sale. Disapprove [V]

Pete, do you have the name of that UPS guy, he seems to be everywhere but my house right now.

Good luck Geoffrey, you'll find something good. Check www.bearair.com and www.dixieart.com for A.B.'s
