Im going for either one of the new dragon 3 in 1 german halftracks. Too many extras to pass up and for the price you can't beat it. Plus the figures in the kit, another added bonus. Can't wait till Christmas!!!

That's how I saved $54.90 on a shiny new anthem

I had to get a new AB because my Aztek broke into 3 pieces in my hand.

A decent 'late model' Centurion tank kit in1/35 scale. I have the Tamiya kit of same but..since it is best to say nothing if one has nothing good to say..I'll keep quiet. I'm keen on modeling IDF AFV's..and the late model Centurion helped win the day in 1967 & 1973...hence my interest. I'm more than willing to do some modifications...but I need a good kit to use as a 'baseline' starting point. Anyone out-there able to help me?

Gabriel, that doesn't have tracks. Wink [;)]

Cplchilly, I keep saying I'm going to get that kit, but have yet too. Disapprove [V]

Buff, just get it. Big Smile [:D] After much deliberation, I decided I have to get one too. My old one could stand a bit of improvement.

To tell the truth, I don't really know. The new Dragon Tiger would be nice. Or maybe one of the Academy american tank destroyers. As long as my family have a good Christmas, I'm not really all that fussed.

No extra shipping cost due to the fact it was part of an earlier order. Combined that with the Cav Zimm and the order came to $33. HH has very cheap shipping, around $5 for standard ground regardless of number of items.

Sorry to hear that Bill, that probably cost you more with postage. I did a search under Dragon Pak 40 and it popped up. Yes, strange it wasn't in numerical order in the list.

Eric,

Where do they have the Pak40 buried? I kept looking for it and could never find it, even went page by page through all the Dragon listings on GMs site and nada. Ended up getting it from Hometown along with a zim set for the Jadgpanther in exchange for the Friul track order I cancelled. Still worked out as a great deal but a little miffed that I can't find the Pak on GM... Sad [:(]

Well, what's 2 more kits? Greatmodels (curse them) is having yet another sale, so I had to break down and get Dragon's Henschel King Tiger and the Dragon Pak 40. These were two of my most wanted kits and at the price, yeah had to get them. Big Smile [:D]

Tigerman,

I've got the Tamiya early Tiger I as a GB project in the works at the moment so didn't want to dilute the Tiger focus...especially since there's the Elefant build coming up and I also have a Panther A Late waiting to be built...both are Dragon kits. Maybe my spring buying will include Tigers, who knows? Big Smile [:D]

Guess it depends on the store. I sent the Mrs. to the one by us with a 50% coupon last weekend and not only didn't they have any airbrushes they were apparently less than helpful. Maybe it was only seasonal help, who knows, but it kind of turned me off to them.

I'll second Tigerman on the airbrush recommendation. I too have my Aztek, but I haven't used it since I got it back from Testors for warranty replacement. The stupid thing clogged for no apparent reason or user error that I could discern. I replaced it with a Badger 200 and have not looked back. The 200 is a single action internal-mix with a needle arrangement like that of a double action, thus it provides most of the spray control functionality of a double action while being easier to use.

I have a Badger 200 too! It's been better than I expected, in fact I'm thinking of not even ordering another at this time. It can do things I didn't think possible and cleanup (with acrylics) is a snap.

Wbill, no Dragon Tiger to add to all the other Dragon goodies?

Considering I get to play my own Santa...

Here's what the "sleigh" will be delivering this year...

Dragon 1/35 Pak 97/38 7.5 cm

Dragon 1/35 Jagdpanther

Dragon 1/35 Sdkfz 251-C 3-in-1

Atak Zimmeritt for Panther A Late

MK S-2 Tiger I Early tracks

And yes, the cost of the Atak and the MK were equal to if not greater than the cost of additional kits, so it was a bit of a struggle over whether to get them or not.

As for the debate over the Aztek AB, I've owned two (first one broke down due to my own negligence) and have had great success using them on a variety of projects. Never used any other type of AB so can't really compare. Haven't ever quite understood why they have such a bad rap. I find them easy to use and easy to maintain with the interchangeable nozzles. Run an ounce of thinner through them after each use and zero issues. <shrug>

I got a couple of kits recently at really good prices, and during the GM sale, ordered an AFV M88 ARV, which is something I've wanted for a while. I'll also be getting the new Dragon 251 3 in 1, and some supplise, but as to what I really want for Christmas: the will of mind to keep my VISA card in my wallet and out of use Big Smile [:D]

It's nothing personal, but I don't trust people to not buy me junky kits, so I just asked for a dremel.

Hmmmm....good question. I say that because I go out on the sites and when I see stuff I like or want, I print the screen then hand the stack to my wife. I can never remember what it was I gave her!! LOL At least I'm surprised! But I always have to remind her that she shouldn't try to get everything as it gets rather overwhelming!! During GMs armor sale, I did specifically ask for an AFV ClubLeichte Zugdraftwagen 3t (Sd.Kfz.11), though. And a few days later, a big box arrived from Great Models! My 12 year old proudly carried it to me informing me that my order had arrived. Poor kid, thought he ruined my Christmas! lol

I was going to ask for the two Waldron punch sets, but decided they were just way too spendy. But I did ask that my subscription to FSM be renewed.Approve [^]

Geoff- I went the other way and ditched the Aztek for the Badger. The Aztek was OK, but the Badger kicks it's behind.

Well, considering that I haven't spent a Christmas holiday with my family for 15 years, that's at the top of my list. They live on the other coast of the US. It ain't gonna happen though, since 'Mrs. Claus' works retail and they don't give vacations during November and December. Disapprove [V]

Also, since 'Mrs. Claus' hates my hobby (She gave up one room of a two bedroom condo so I could lock it away out of sight!) there's no sense in asking for something hobby-related from her. Dead [xx(]

I do want the Concorde in 1/72 scale
the A109 in 1/72 scale,
and about $150 dollars worth of ACE and PST small scale Armor!

So far, that's what's on my list this year.

i picked up a Paasche VL at HobbyTown USA for a littel under 80 dollars. I love the brush to death it sure beats the hell out of my AZTEK. The AZTEK works ok when it is clean. But it's such a pain in the Censored [censored] to keep clean and very touchy when it comes to paint build up.
