The same chassis could be used for both purposes, so you should still have the antenna base on the left side.

Just one comment though. This I got from the guys after posting my Wittman Tiger. They said the antenna on the left side of the tiger's body should not be there. The antennas should be on the turret, which you have  already and the one on the right. I'm not sure if this applies to your Tiger. Nice build. I like the camo work.

These command tanks should have two antennas, not three. Dragon gives you three and shows pics with all three fitted, which can confuse things. There were two versions of the Command Tiger. Both had the 2m antenna on the turret. The SdKfz 267, used by Coy and battalion commanders had the star antenna on the right of the hull. The 268, used i think by FAC's had the 1.4m antenna on the left of the hull.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Oh I understand now. I assembled mine in the 'neutral position, 12 oclock. It seemed to work out perfectly:

If that is what you are asking...

That is the answer I've expected but what is the "normal position" of that arm.  Straight down or all the way to the back?

I think it is all the way back, down to me makes it sound as if the put it down to losen the track, back would be to take up the slack...

I don't really fully understand your issue, but, as I remember on my kit, the roadarm angle was controlled by the positioning of the working torsion bars. The torsion bars are located by gluing in anchors on the inside of the hull?

As I remember, the torsion bar assembly was a little different that the Initial Tiger.

Steve

I'm sorry, I'm a french canadian and sometimes I just have a hard time explaining what I have to say.  I have no problem with the torsion bars which fit perfectly.  I'm talking about the last wheel at the back, which is the iddler wheel.  There is no torsion bar for that part and there is a pin inside the hole to limit the rocking action of the swing arm, but that pin is smaller than the groove in the swing arm so once in the hole, that swing arm can partially rotate to have the idler wheel more toward the front or more toward the rear.  Here is a quick made drawing to show what I'm talking about.

Dragon's Tiger I late question
Posted by Yann Solo on Monday, June 5, 2006 8:23 AM

I just started to build the Dragon's Tiger I late kit and I have a hard time figuring out how to glue the swing arms for the idler wheels.  When the part is inserted in its socket, it can still swing back and forth but it does not clips so I have to glue it in place but I have no clue in which position to glue it.  I presume I should leave that part aside and glue it only when I'm ready to install the track so it will help to fit both the iddler wheel and the track together.  Am I right?

Also, if any of you who have build this kit has suggestion regarding the painting sequence, please let me know.

Thanks
