I told ya'll once I got some good pix there'd be no stopping me!
Here's Tamiya's old Panther A, wearing my first ever attempt at an airbrushed camoulflage. As you can see, I had a hard time getting a tight spritz going, so it's a pretty lazy hazy pattern, but I like the overall effect.
One of the fun aspects of building these old Tamiya 1/25 scale kits is trying to fix some of the numerous inaccuracies. I don't have it in me to tackle any big dimensional issues, but little things like replacing the lifting eyes on the turret (they're square in the kit!) and putting floors in the sponsons are easy to do and go a long way towards accurizing the kit.
Now, if only ModelKasten or Friulmodel would make some aftermarket tracks in 1/25 scale...
