Sorry i did not mean it to be insulting. In its own unique way it looks like a jadgpanther after running into the USA tankers.

I think that is one great recovery kdawg despite the negative comments above ( that sounds insanely familiar if you all know what I mean Whistling [:-^])

This is the first time I've actually come upon this thread and I have to say that it's one of the coolest models I've seen in a long time!!!! EXCELLENT WORK, K-Dawg!! TRULY SUPERB!Big Smile [:D]Wow!! [wow]

I'm a sucker for burnt-out vehicles, wrecks, etc, so this one is one after my own heart. I think what is truly instructive here is that, had I not known how a simple paint mishap had given you those "priceless" paint blotches and chips, I would have wracked my brain trying to figure out how you managed such an utterly convincing ruined finish! It's amazing to think that sometimes the most incredible results are simply the result of accidental miracles!

Nothing taken away from your skill however, K-dawg! The weathering and subtlety are really just jaw-dropping! I'll be watching this one!

Outstanding work of art, are you going to try to build another one as you wanted in the beginning?

You may or may not be interested, but there are pictures online of a Jagdpanther in the Imperial War Museum in London with actual armour penetrations. I'm typing this from an airport kiosk, but if I had a better machine, I'd post a URL. Try googling for images with keywords "jagdpanther imperial war museum" if you're interested.

Good looking work, the PE is so cool, I have to work up the courage to try some.  What is that thing that the tank is mounted on?  It looks pretty handy to me.

Excellent, I know your far from finished but if I may, I think if the fire took place a time ago parts of the orange will go browner. The welds will remain shiny or more metallic than the armour plate. I know you have a long way to go and I don't want to rain on your parade. I really do think that with the amount of build work put in so far aith AM product, scratchibuilding and all hard work it was a brave choice to go down the road of a wreck but WOW, COOL!

Beautiful job,

Regards,

Terry.

Stunning. I love the subtleties of the tones, the soot and ash, and the careful application thereof.

Bill.. you're right about the scopes... It's mostly an internal fire that spread to the roadwheels and such.... I removed all the tools as you see so I should do the same with the vision blocks... They'd burn right up...  Thanks for reminding me...

Sweet looking work their Kenneth! On a side note, is the fire a combination of internal and external (i.e. "brewed up") as indicated by the open hatches and soot? If so, I wonder if the gunner and loader periscopes (or any of the others for that matter on the turret roof) would've survived intact since they were made from bakelite and glass? I love the touch with the shovel handle, a neat detail easily overlooked. Bravo! Thumbs Up [tup]

Thanks Treadwell...Big Smile [:D]

So here is what I did last night... I got a lot more of the dark colors on and just continued to add little patches of color here and there...

Here's the roof...

The left side agian this time with the soot from the burned rubber tires which are visible in the picture...

And the rear of the fighting compartment... Not the burned outline of the shovel handle and the pile of ash below it...

Still going....  :D
