dragon's pzbeobwg. III ausf. H *pics*
Posted by biffa on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 3:58 PM

As the title says this is the dragon pzbeobwg. III ausf. H it is an older kit that i have had in the stash a while and i had an urge to build a pz III back before the tiger project and it got put to one side while in the weathering stages and i finally got round to finishing it, i built it straight OOB and had no problems at all with it, it was painted and weathered in my usual manner of many many oil washes over a MM acrylic basecoat with a little pigments at the end, i have spotted a couple of issues since taking these pics but nothing i cant live with Smile [:)].

Thanks for looking and as always all comments are welcome.

It still amazes me how you and others do such a fine job at painting your roadwheels and tracks while assembled. I'll never get it. Confused [%-)] Like the beat-up look on this guy, really does the montone justice. Another sweet build to add to the stash.

Thats a really neat looking tank. It almost looks like when they built it, they installed the MG in the cannon spot, and the cannon in the MG spot. I also really like your weathering, nice dusty look to it.

...the funky gun layout was to accomodate the extra radios that the command version carried...

Nicely done Ron as usual! Thumbs Up [tup]

On the question of the turret gun layout, the "barrel" is a wooden mock-up, meant to make it harder to pick out the observer tanks from the real ones since they were more vulnerable in the armament department vs. the standard gun tanks.

Many Thanks for the terrific replys guys i really do appreciate it and find it comforting, sometimes i think i get carried away with the weathering because thats the way i like them and its nice to know you guys like to see them a little abused also Smile [:)]

After a very tough week at work (Roofing in 93 degrees with near 100% humidity) it was a nice treat to log in and read this feedback, you guys are all cool in my book Thumbs Up [tup] and are always welcome to PM or email me if there's anything i can ever help with, now its Miller time.

thats a great pz 3.one of my favorite subjects.and you do them all so well.i can relate to you about the heat and humidity as its been much the same up here.thepores open up and the grease and hydraulic oil seem to soak in to the bone.anyway great build, and stay cool.
