Nice work, both of you.
Showed my wife the pics; all she could say was "Why is Hers bigger than His?"
If you use propellant, maybe one of those adapters for a car tyre might be a handy "back up" when you run out of cans. Then all you two will need to worry about is who is going to pump the spare back up.
Seriously though, I recently bought an "El Cheapo" 2.4 HP compressor from my hardware store for AUD $99 (about USD$66) which is about 1/4 of the price of dedicated Modelling Compressor here in Australia. It came with a regulator and a water trap, which necessary here in Humid Queensland. My Aztec 4709 fit without any problems and it works great. Maybe you can find something similar over there.
Yeah, it is noisier than my old, dearly departed modelling compressor, but hey, you only need to fill it once per session
. Seeing as you both build, the Mrs probably won't complain of the noise anyway.
Looking forward to Round 2
Happy Modelling
