Tamiya King Tiger Porsche Turret

Here's my recently finished Porsche King Tiger by Tamiya. Just fell together, love building Tamiya stuff. Used Cavalier zimm and Lion Roar photo etch for grill screens.

Still may add some extras like a commander figure, we'll see. And maybe another shot of dull cote , she seems a little shiny.

Very nice indeed.  You used 2part epoxy for the zimm?  how did that go?  is it difficult to mix and use?

ps1scw, thanks for the compliment, I used cyanoacrylate(super glue) instead of 2 part epoxy. The 2 part expoxy was quite messy and not as easy to use as the superglue when I used it previously.

Doog, thanks for the kind words, looking forward to your next project. Always a treat.Big Smile [:D]

Here's some more pics with another basecoat of flat and some more pastels added. I hope this toned things down a little more.

Now that I'm looking at the new pictures , it must be the light that is causing the glare/ shiny sheen. If I add anymore flat or pastels, it'll look like a dirtball.

Very nice. I've got the same kit in the stash, was curious about the Cavalier Zim. Looks very good.

Looks great. I noticed that you remembered to do a most lookedover thing, by drilling out the MG barrel. Nice work on the weathering.

Very nice. That was one of my 1st tanks that i built. Still takes pride of place on my shelf. I think yours came out much sweeter though. Top job.

As for looking like a dirtball. Heres mine.
