That was the one I saw Brumbles. Night and day compaired to the Lion Roar one.

Eric here is the build up of the Lion Roar one

/forums/976484/ShowPost.aspx

I'll be doing more of a wash soon hopefully, going to try a new product out on it when I get it.

Brumbles, It is the one and the same kit, originally made by Peerless Max. And Tigerman no this is not the represented present build. Chris' build I believe is mostly PE.

All gave some and some gave all.

Sorry, I must have missed the beginning of this build somewhere. Is this the Italeri kit that people seem to refer it too? If so, it looks quite nice, though I do agree with Doog on washes.

For what it's worth, I heard and read that the Ivans were equally afraid of the nebelwerfer as the Germans were of the Katyusha launchers. They knew what was attacking them just from the noise alone! Scared the jeebies out of them.

LizardQink may be remembering the Italeri issue, I think from the mid-1970s.  It seemed very detailed in its time!

Here's a link to the kit:  http://www.anticsonline.co.uk/910_1_1000190.html

The packaging was a little different back then.

Thanks again guys.

A base is a sure thing. Just got to get a piece of wood the right size first.

Panzerguy, Peerless Max originally made this piece with little tracked RSO tractor. Then Aurora released it with a crew.

All gave some and some gave all.

Simlpy superb, please do it a base soon, personally I would be afraid of something so delicate getting damaged. Again superb Model.

Terry.

With my fat fingers and toes I have to put things on bases just to assemble them without breaking them. Even the big things like AFVs.

That is fine work. If you do decide to base it, please post a couple of shots.

Thanks guys.

I am planning on some sort of vignette for it sometime, just read to move on to other things for now.

I don't know how much time I have in it, I would guess though over 75 hours easy. It would take an hour or more just put on one row of rivets.

I did do a little bit of a wash, but I was keeping it pretty basic for the review photos. Soon as I get some black pigments I'll be going back over the barrel ends, did'nt have anything close to black so I tried graphite. Which while did not give the right look for this did have a look for some worn metal on other stuff though.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] I was thinking the same thing!

This is simply gorgeous--the amount of detail is unreal!

One thing I would ask though is, what is with the silver/gray coloring on the ends of the barrels? I would use a pastel blackening of the ends there, to show the blowback from the rockets, which was considerable. The silvery-gray looks a little weird to me.

This is really an awesome kit though--you should make a little vignette of it!

Chris how many hours do you figure the build took to finish? Did you apply a filter on this deserving little gem? You know a pinwash would really set off all the detail and make it pop out!Whistling [:-^] Just a suggestion.

All gave some and some gave all.

I saw your original WIP thread and I saw just how complicated that thing really is. To put it simply.

Finally!!!!!!  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  Real test of the patience. But got to say a great build that not only challenges every bit of patience but the detail is mind blowing. I know I did not do this kit no where near the justice it deserves. Lots of little things that just bug me that I could have done a bit better but if I spend any more time on it I will destroy it. Might wind up putting into some kind of base one day when I get bored, it really needs one as small as it is. To easy to forget where I put it.

On to the pics though.
