The eyes of an "Armor" modeler....! LOL!

I p*ss black washes! LOL!

LOL  I hear ya. But, at 150 mph, dirt=drag, so out comes the Simoniz. Sometimes, way back before pop rivets, they would even line the slots in the sheet metal screw up with the direction of airflow. And you thought the military modelers were anal.

Funny thing you notice the lack of grill wash but missed the radiused and flaired fenders. You're right though, it would have looked better.

You'd both be right. It's a model of David Pearson's Holman Moody modified Grand National Fairlane sitting in front of the fenced in security lot at my 1/25 scale Echoes of Thunder restoration facility. I used PaintShop to add me and to airbrush all the race lettering off. It has all the subtle "Moody Magic" that went into getting a Fairlane race ready back then even though I forgot the grill wash. Funny thing you notice the lack of grill wash but missed the radiused and flaired fenders. You're right though, it would have looked better.

I'm guessing that this is a Photoshopped picture of your model?

It's a cool way to depict it, and it looks nicely done! I would black out the grill a little more with a wash though.Wink [;)]

I dunno....she sits like a tanker! You'd never be outta gas!

Rising fuel costs and the lack of little furrin car drivers that like breathing Sunoco 260 fumes and Blue Streak rubber smoke caused the terminal lack of takers for my challengers so I had to park the Fairlane. But not to worry, I just got a call  from one of my friends "in the business" that they needed to branch out in the "designer beverage" market and was looking for a spokesman for their new line.  Anybody thirsty?
