I've got 4 or 5 of these. There a good kit. Seperate frame like the 60 starliner. The stock hood only came on the SS427. The regular SS Impala had the regular hood. The 67 SS427 was a model in itself and as such has a vin# to indicate it to be a real SS427. No clones. A SS427 hood alone can cost $$$$.

Great links, bookmarked both! Thanks for the help, wingform84!!!

Can't wait to buy that 67 Chevy Impala Super Sport, alot of scrathbuilding may be involved for the project I'm planning, but I'm still lookin' forward to it.Big Smile [:D]

Happy to help! My mom worked for GM dealers in the 60s and 70s, and I grew up hanging around the dealership after school and then working there as a teen in the early 70s. Always had a soft spot for Impalas.

So long folks!

Just one more question......does anyone know if their are any aftermarket parts for the 1/25 AMT 67 Chevy Impala Super Sport?Question [?]

I looked on eBay a bit ago. Two aftermarket hoods were listed: a "small block" hood without the louvers found in the 8207 kit, and a hood with a huge cowl-induction scoop.

I also found the kit cheaply enough on eBay. Here it is.

And I have no idea what TV show you are referring to...

Thanks, Dan A!!! As for tv show, I'm reffering to Supernatural. I want to get 1967 Chevy Impala kit and then model it off of the 1967 Impala they drive. That means quite abit of scrathbuilding, including an arsenal of weapons in the trunk. A project that is still in the planning stages.

And the aforementioned Street Machine $13.98 (Open box, shrinkwrapped parts)

Very reputable dealer, I've bought tons from him with no concerns, including open boxed kits.

The #8207 kit is described on Model Roundup's site as having been "quietly discontinued after a low production run." Model Roundup lists it at about $23. Would be worth having a look on eBay.

Good luck in your quest--I quite like the Impalas (1967 and older) myself.

Dang it....I was planning on getting a 1967 Impala kit, so I could scratchbuild specific areas like the trunk, to model it off a tv show.(Some folks may realize what show I'm talking about.)

There are several of this kit, though I think they may just all be re-releases of the same on XD

I built the 1967 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport by AMT/ERTL #8207 and theres a thread about it here.

But I've seen that one (blue with blue interior on the box), a "1967 Impala Street Machine" (completely yellow with aftermarket rims), a re-release of the street machine under the name "1967 Chevrolet Impala" in the AMT "Classics" line, and then a release in the Custom Rides Collection (green with big dub rims).  It's probably all the same kit, only adding new rim options as time went on because they're all 1/25th scale by AMT or AMT/ERTL.  There may be even more, but that's the only ones I've been able to find.  Hope this helps you.

Is that 1967 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport by AMT/ERTL #8207 a discontinued kit? Because I can't seem to find anyone selling it.

1967 Chevy Impala kits....help!
Posted by mg.mikael on Saturday, November 29, 2008 5:13 PM

For some strange reason I feel like building a 1967 Chevy Impala, something that's very strange for me, since I usually only build things on the "dark side." I started looking across the web for a kit, but all I could find was the 1/25 AMT 1967 Chevy Impala. Is this the only kit out there or do other manufacters make this specific vehicle? Has anyone built this kit? Question [?] All help is appreciated.Smile [:)]
