Gunners mate,  that garage looks like the run-down one I used to rent when I lived in SW Phila. back in the late 50's and early 60's. The only difference is I had a '53 Chevy convertable in there instead of your '54 hardtop. Fantastic job. Bow [bow]Bow [bow]Make a Toast [#toast]Make a Toast [#toast]

I think this is just gorgeous!

I just love old rusty cars! And the amount of details you have included is just staggering--everywhere I look I can see something catching my eye!

Very, very well done! Cool [8D]Thumbs Up [tup]

Hello All,  the building is stick built from garage plans I found on the internet, the roof shingles are cut from the cedar dividers in cigar boxes, I know there not to 1/24th scale, I'm not that much of a masochist. The bench, shelves, the fence (picket is store bought) is all scratch built.

The inspiration is from the garages from my youth, we NEVER had a garage that was for a car. Just workshops for working on cars, planes, military vehicles.

Thanks to Al, I can see the picture, and I like what I see! That's a pretty cool dio there. Lots of little details. Is it mostly scratchbuilt?

Hello, just got done with my first diorama, I've work on it off and on for about 4 months. It's done in 1/24 more or less, the base is 30"x 24". At first I thought I bit off more than I could chew but I just started in one corner and went for it. I started with a plywood base then a roofing tile, it's easy to dig into for dips or pot holes.  Hope ya like it and any comments or idea's are welcome.
