Holy smokes, that is gorgeous!

The finish is perfect, underside is authentic, top looks great, and the engine compartment is impeccable, interior stunning. Oh yeah, the wheels/tires don't look bad either!

Outstanding Thumbs Up [tup] I'm telling you , if this was not for being on your deck I would swear it was 1/1! My favorite detail of the build  is the vinyl roof - Perfect !

I've got that kit in my stash. You've left some pretty big shoes to fill!

So long folks!

Cruz, how did you do that vinyl top? I have this model in my stash, but never opened it. Is the roof textured on the model? I see in one of your pictures a can of 3M spray mount. Was this used for the vinyl top? I just gotta know. That car is right on target. Believe me, I know, I've been working for Chrysler for 40 years now and that Charger looks great. I remember working on those cars when they were new.

For the vinyl top, I went to Michael's and purchased that can of 3M adhesive spray mount. After adding the trim around the roof to separate the body and roof, I masked it with Tamiya masking tape and sprayed the top. After that, I layed three coats of primer to the adhesive and sanded it with a fine grit sandpaper, in this case a 3200 grit cloth from my collection of polishing cloths. After that, it was just a matter of painting it semi-gloss black. In my humble opinion I think it's the closest thing to scale for this use. You want to make sure that you sand it a little smoother because it's kind of clumpy when you first shoot it, by sanding it you create a smoother, more realistic feel and look.

You're a braver man than I, putting that gorgeous model on the deck railing with a drop-off to the ground below.

I cant give enough praise. I love your top. Thats saying alot, I hate vinyl. Cool color, I havent seem any that shade of blue before!
Nothing like seeing "two palm trees humpin' a garbage can"!! That's what we called the heavy lift guys when I was on an EH-60 at Fort Carson back in '91.
I'll never look at garbage cans the same again.

EXCELLENT!

Loved the redlines and dog dish hubcaps!! The only thing I saw on the entire car that wasn't right was the color of the four speed transmission. They were cast iron cased, and treated with an anti rust solution that left the case a very dirty looking blackish brown. Aluminum transmissions were only used on factory race cars in 1965.
