Was this used for the vinyl top? I just gotta know. That car is right on target. Believe me, I know, I've been working for Chrysler for 40 years now and that Charger looks great. I remember working on those cars when they were new. Ken |

For the vinyl top, I went to Michael's and purchased that can of 3M adhesive spray mount. After adding the trim around the roof to separate the body and roof, I masked it with Tamiya masking tape and sprayed the top. After that, I layed three coats of primer to the adhesive and sanded it with a fine grit sandpaper, in this case a 3200 grit cloth from my collection of polishing cloths. After that, it was just a matter of painting it semi-gloss black. In my humble opinion I think it's the closest thing to scale for this use. You want to make sure that you sand it a little smoother because it's kind of clumpy when you first shoot it, by sanding it you create a smoother, more realistic feel and look.
