Half a kit better n' none !

My first time in the Auto section here.  I'm presently building a CHP(Calif. Hwy Patrol) helicopter and motorcycle kit.  So far, I've only got the motorcycle finished.  It's in 1/48 scale which is all I have built so far,  and I was amaized at how dang small this thing is, but I was pretty pleased with the details on such a small thing.  Anyway, here are a couple of pics.

Looks good and I can only imagine how small it must be. I've got a couple of 1/25 dirt bikes that came in a truck kit and they are pretty tiny little things.

I hesitate to even bring it up, because its a bit late to do anything about it, but I don't believe CHP has ever worn blue shirts, their uniform shirts are tan like the pants.

It is tiny...just a little over 2 inches long, but fun to build and look at.  As far as the uniform, I went to the CHP web page and updated a few details, like the uniform colors.  The helicopter is an old Hughs 500D in black and white paint, but the new ones are blue and gold.  I'm still deciding as to which paint scheme to go with there.  I admit I'm leaning toward the traditional black and white.

Thanks for your interest AaronW...and keep building!

If you decide to do the current blue / gold scheme and can't find good pics I have a walk around and lots of in flight pics of the A-stars they are flying in Northern California. Heller does a 1/48 A star, so if you decide you want a current helo to go with the Hughes that is an option.

I'm not sure when they switched from black & white to blue & gold.

Thanks for the generous offer, I will keep it in mind if that option comes up.
