Question for the doog or other users who rust out car models.
Posted by Greasy on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 4:01 PM

A while back you posted some links to websites that rust out and heavy weather car models.  I can not find the link or the websites with google.  I am looking to do a bit of a Mad Max build and I remembered you posted some sites that were awesome and they had tutorials links.  THe one I rememebr the most the guy (Al or Alan I think) did an old international scout model that was rust out and redneckish.  If you could post some links I would be greatful.  So I could not ask in private but I did not see a way of doing a PM.  I am just interested in resources to doing rust job on cars much like your lair of the rust bunnies.

 Thanks,
Jon

Hi Greasy

Doog here! Big Smile [:D]

Man, I wish I could remember those links--I don't actually have them bookmarked anymore--had to reformat the computer and lost mostof them.

The link for the "Rust Bunnies" is here--you have to be a subscriber to view it, I think?

Actually--hold on; could this be one?

Oh yeah--and here's the old thread about it when I made the "Rust Bunnies' model--your links that you are looking for should all still be in here!

I hope this was what you were looking for? Smile [:)]

This is a little on-going tutorial about this here.

It's one way of doing it.

This site is hit -and-miss as far as getting in. They have it on some sort of setting that is accessible if you are not a registered member. But it's random...

I found one link I was looking for.

I remember a site with more of an overall tutorial for weathering and road warrior style cars.  I will keep looking.

 Thanks,
Jon
