A PEACH for the DOOG!

Never knew Studebaker made trucks. I see the occasional car every so often; there were several Studebakers at the classic car show in Scottsdale a few weeks ago.

Finally figured out where the pics were of where we found the truck.I think thats a Mn. sasquatch in the cabThanks for looking guys.And the comments.Its my cousins truck,he's got the damndest luck when people want to get rid of something he seems to be right there to say ,ya sure .

LOL, that explains it! Those old trucks were tough, but not THAT tough.

Yeah, that is a pretty truck. Not mine, found that with a quick Google search. There are a bunch of Stude sites out there. An historic marque, and one I miss.

Sorry if I was misleading or unclear,the fellow was killed in a different vehicle.this was only his W.I P..I know the stude was very much like dodge and international in that they believed that  there was no need to do any changes to thelook or engineering i.e.,If it aint broke dont fix it..The old stude has a very pleasing 1/3rd glass area to 2/3rds body,kinda gives it a very natural top-chop look to it.Very KOOL old truck.And that is a very lovely truck there Bgrigg

By the way, Stude (Stew-Dee) make trucks until the mid 60s ending with the "Champ". An old friend of mine is a Stude nut, and owns a '62 Lark convertible, '47 Commander and a '62 Champ pickup.

Actually has not resided in the swamp for long.A fellow purchased the truck a few years back with intentions of restoring it.Unfortunately the fellow went to a bar one nite and got plastered and parked himself along a highway to take five.No lights on poor visibility and the poor guy was rear-ended by a semi.End of restoration.The truck was somehow overlooked at the estate sale,the new owner of the property filled the box with garage garbage and it was off to the swamp.My cousin and I went to look at a couple of out buildings the new owner wanted removed and he told us to take that *report me* old truck to,if we wanted it.This is not his first peach of a freebie.

Whats the story behind that? A crash? Did someone die in it?

I thought they only stored Tanks in swamps?

It's in pretty good shape, actually. It would be a beauty restored!
