Interesting....I can't believe this guy still uses tube glue!
This method is good for a very broad, and general "rust" effect, But it's kind of a "lazy" way to do rust, in my opinion. You can get much more detail and subtlety in rusting effects by using oils, pastels or MIG pigments, especially. See my article in the November 2008 issue of Finescale Modeler to see how I did my Chevy Nomad using these techniques.

I buy a tube of the orange glue once in a while just for the nostalgic smell lol
Sounds funny but I do to (for the smell, memories of childhood etc) BUT also the old tube glue is a very very good gap filler if you dont have putty.

im glad you guys enjoy the video! what "The Doog" stated is true. its a lazy and less realistic way of making rust but it is an alternative.
