I just used that exact technique with the '56 Chevy I just posted!

Why is it that I never get good ideas like that? I'm not too sure about the spray-paint bit, but I'll try anyway

(I'm notorious for not being able to mask a strait line, let alone anything else)

Easy one! Get a circle template and hold it on the tire then spray acylic flat white. Does a great job!

Gotta love them white-walls

I have read over the instructions for Revell's 1/25 scale 49 Mercury, and one thing I noted was the White-wall tires on them.

Normally, I would love a good pair of white-walls myself (I'm thinking about a set for my 1/1 scaleF-150), but since I want to model the car as being abandoned (and with flat tires) I am sort of stuck. I know that the vynel used in the tires melts faster than the styrene plastic, so using my trusty heat-gun techniques would probably burn the tires before the white-wall insert was hot enough to form.

The model also has an optional set of black radial tires, and I was wondering if there are any easy ways to turn the stock radial into a stock white-wall. Is this possible?

     Thanks. -Railfan 233
