The doog asked...My first auto build since the 70's AMT's 55 Nomad

This being my first auto build in decades I built it straight OOB just to get my feet wet for my next build a Revell "66" Chevy SS 396 Hardtop.

The only add ons I did where ALCLAD Chrome for the window and side molding trim, and Bare Metal Foil on the rear bed.

I still need to do the Chevy emblem on the front hood but need to figure out how.

Really like your 55' Nomad!

One trick you can try from building armor is use a flat black wash on the grill to make the slots look deeper. Wipe the top with a rage dampened in thinner to keep the chrome clean n' shiny!Cool

I picked up Revell's 57' Nomad at a show n' shine recently, it has to be the worst kit I have had the misfortune to start, after a few hours cleaning up horrible parts and dry fitting I returned to the vendor to get replacement wheels. The kit ones had HUGE sink holes. After digging through bags of spare wheels he cut me a deal on a 49' Mercury by AMT/ETRL. What a cool kit and light years ahead in detail, moldings & satisfaction.Yes
