Use Simple Green it works well and isn't caustic so you don't need rubber gloves or a respirator.

A couple of suggestions: go to http://www.bonediggers.com/1-3/strip/strip.html where a detailed comparison with all the pros and cons of different methods are listed based on actual trials. Also find the posting "How to strip old paint" posted December 12th (about page 5 of this forum I think) where there are again a heap of suggestions.

I usually use Easy-Off oven cleaner and an old toothbrush.
Maker sure that you wear rubber gloves and perhaps a set of safety glasses would'n hurt either.
Spray the car and let it sit for a while and then scrub it with the toothbrush.
I usually use an old pan of some sort that the car can sit in entirely.
Hope that this helps.
