I miss my Dart!

My first car was a 1971 Dodge Dart Police Interceptor. It was an automatic, but it still had the 383.

She was only a whiskey maker, but he loved her still.

I am currently building one for a friend of mine, I purchased  this Light Metallic Green paint from Scalefinishes, great place to do business and the flakes in the paint are also to scale.

You're more than welcomed, J. Check them out--they're the only paint company I trust for accurate factory colors now, when I'm looking for an "exact match"!

ESPECIALLY in metallic colors! Their scale reproduction of the metal flakes can't be beat!

Thank you for the information! I can't believe I have not heard about this company. I've just started buuilding models again after a 20 year hiatus and I can't believe all of the options available to modelers now! Again, thank you!

Model Car World, known is "MCW" does a line of absolutely correct factory paints for scale cars. The metal flakes in them are ground precisely to scale size, so you get a perfectly true 1:1 representation of the paint. There really is no finer paint on the market. Look at my '56 Chevy here done with MCW paints;

MCW also has a catalogue that you can order which gives all the correct paint numbers and colors for each manufacturer by year. You can then order from Dodge's inventory. The colors come airbrush-ready, pre-thinned, and go on beautifully.

Here is their website. This is the page with Chrysler's colors I suspect that the color you want is "6761 Gold Metallic"

1968 Dodge Dart Color Question
Posted by jwood on Thursday, December 9, 2010 9:45 AM

Hey all!

If anyone has built the Revell 1968 Dodge Dart kit, I was wondering if you could tell me what color you used for the gold body? Any help or advice on paint colors used for this kit would be appreciated!

Thanks!!!
