Very nice build. Looks a little war weary like most military vehicles should. Yes

My first car in 20 plus years. It started life as the  "Miss Deal model by Revell. I took it a long way from that kit. It is dedicated to the Marines & navy corp. men  who faught and died on the atoll of tarawa. " island of Betio "  it was a bloody 3 day fight in nov of 1943. every color and decal has a meaning . I scratch built alot on this car.  All the chrome was weathered with Tamiya X-19 smoke / the gas tank - front tires- chutes- and plug wires are after market parts.  The pan the gas tank sits on - gas lines- chute cables- extra roll cage sapports- header metal strip-bar holding up the body- gas peddal toe gaurd- seat belt, are all scratch built. Winshield,  driver and skull and cross bones are from parts box. The header pipes are drilled out, and custom built with header flang. That was the tuffest job. The hood is puttied  to make it a one piece body. The model is a real low grade kit. I wanted it to look ruff and war beatin.  real happy with it. It was a six month build, lot of time figuring out what I wanted to up grade.

my brother filled me in with these details about this build.
This is the way my funny car looks as built out of the box. these are other peoples builds. wait till you see mine I really went in another direction. with after market plug wires, distribitor, gas tank, front wheels and tires. built up the roll cage.  after market chutes. scratch built chute cables, scratch built gas tank pan, scratch built bars that hold body open, hood was glued and puttied into a one piece body. the driver legs where cut and shortened, rib cage reworked, helmet filed so the german helmet now looks like an american. 90% of decales are custom. windshield is from another model.  Wow when you put it down in print I did a lot of extra work into the car and I think it shows.

Very imaginative and really nicely done!

We don't see many gassers here! A nice change of pace!

Always loved the gassers. I intended this to be more of an early Funny Car.
