Pretty interesting color--it reminds me of black raspberry ice cream! Nice job on the finished product!

I used Tamiya Deep Green(XF-26).It is a good match for the engine color.

One more question if I may; what color did you use for the engine, I've looked at pictures and can't quite figure out what to use, what you used looks good on it

Oh yes! The fenders required bodywork for sure!

I happen to be building one now too, and the detail in the engine is poor to say the least. By the way, did you fill in some bad fits with putty, because I have some nasty gaps in my front fenders

THe kit-supplied steering wheel is very small so I found a parts-box replacement.

Yes you are right about the wheel it is way too small!I re-worked the cylinder heads by cutting and splicing Revell V-8 heads.I made the exhaust manifolds out of sprue.

I'm glad you posted this. It will inspire me to resurrect my '48. It will need new wheels and headlights at the very least. A major reworking of the cylinder heads for accuracy. And a better steering wheel. I fear the kits is too small. Good luck and post the results, will ya?

I started this Lindberg project back in the spring of 2009 and decided to re-start it. Here I have mounted the body and fenders to the chassis.
