I agree with doog.

I saw a couple of Edsels a few nights ago. I believe they were "58s. You can find some really off the wall kits depending on what days your looking hehehehe.

Get on eBay and start looking. If you're going to find them, they'll be there, most likely.

Can't speak to the Crown Vics and Caprices, but there have been numerous releases of the others on your list, although not in all years and body styles. AMT had kits for practically all of the late 50's, sixties and early seventies cars, usually in 2dr Hardtop and sometimes the convertible versions. These were the 3-in-1 customizing/race car/stock kits. Problem is that these are all long out of production and are expensive when they come up - I'm hoping that the current trend of reissuing the old kits, like the current "Double Dragster" will bring back some of the old models.

I'm personally wishing for a "62 Imperial convertible and any of the other "big fin" beauties from the early 60's, and a '59 Buick wouldn't be bad!

I had a '60 Chevy Station Wagon many, many years ago. Can't remember who made it. Gave it to the grandkids to play with. Crying

I want a 64 Imperial for a driver car, I like the old muscle, but there is something so American about a giant, strong, an powerful 4 door sedan lol.  The imps(unfortunately) make invincible derby cars, so the real ones are snapped up pretty fast.

Chrysler new ports, New Yorkers, and dodge monacos would work too!!!

Alrighty, I'll check that out! I build model demo derby cars (to order, for profit now), an I've done about all I can do with 57 Chevys, 57 Chevy wagons, Catalina's, and revells 64 impala low rider I can:/ I'm thinking about making an imperial body (the car I want/need most) from scratch, it's more or less just flat panels other than the trunk, like a battleship on wheels lol.

Can't help you, but you have good taste in cars.  Good luck in finding some.  I have been looking for a 1960 Cadillac convertible, either kit or ready-made for years, but never found one.  Sentimental reasons- that was my first car!  I also loved the Edsels, the first one ('57?) especially.

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

I know AMT had an Edsel kit out a few years ago; it was a new mold, so it's pretty good. I haven't seen it in stores for awhile, though; might've sold as well as the real one.

Posted by TheWildChild on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 12:47 PM

Does anybody know if there is currently, or has ever been, kits of these cars in plastic:

1960-1967 Chrysler Imperial

late 50's Edsels

late 50's fords or mercurys (especially a 59 Montclaire)

1980-1987 Ford Crown Victorias

1980-2000 caprices

58-79 station wagons, any make, but no racecars.

57-78 ford pickups

57-78 Dodge pickups.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Google hasn't helped me much lol
