Kits I would like to see in the near future
Posted by Blaine Vanderwell on Saturday, December 29, 2012 6:46 AM

Anyone else have a dream car or a car kit you would like to see put on the market? I actually have a few in mind,

#1 1/12 or  1/18 scale Buggatti Veyron SuperSport 2009 Edition

just because at the larger scale I hope for greater detail

This exotic is the coolest and best example of "Art Meets Engineering"

#2 1/12 or 1/18 scale Paganni Zonda any model year

again hoping for greater detail

This exotic is just sexy all over

#3 1/12 or 1/18 scale Lamorghini Countach LP500 2006 Concept Vehicle

Just because its the re-birth of the Grand daddy of the Super Cars

Call me Nostalgic......

#4 any scale 2011 - 2013 Ford Fiesta SES 5 Door

I own the 2011 model in Ford Metallic Candy Apple Red

It could even come as the "Ken Block" DG/Monster Gymkana Edition

Any other car builders out there with some other ideas?

I'd like to see re-releases of the Polar Lights Funny Car and Nascar series.

Also it would be nice to see the old AMT (now Model King) altered wheelbase series.

I would love to see more indy cars of the front engined era- 30s, 40s.  Would also love to see a repop of the really great AMT Watson roadster.  But, considering the poor sales of the recent Revell Midget kits (really nice kits, an Offy version and a Ford version, real state of the art) I guess that wish will go unfulfilled :-(

Have seen '59 Chevy Converts but never a '60. A nice 3-in-1 would be great. Can't you tell I owned one? Cool Tempted to buy a 1:1 I saw at a local car show 2 years ago. Way too much $$.

I want a really good Jaguar D-Type....not just the outstanding Fishermodels curbside version....I want it like the Fujimi Enthusiast Model range....a zillion parts with full engine and suspension detail.

Cheers, LeeTree

4 door 'Metalicar' Impala from the show Supernatural with open trunk and 'hunters cache' inside. I know   there is a 2 door version out there but requres a good bit of surgery to make it a 4 door. Doable, but not something I really care to attempt.

I would like a 1963 Sunbeam Rapier. I'd paint it Moonstone Blue. Sentimental reasons only.

Which reminds me- I'd like a Sunbeam Alpine to make into a 'Tiger'!

Given that a model has to ship 30,000 units to be viable, i don't think many of the ideas here would cut the mustard.
