Howdy,
Got AMT's Munster's Koach for Christmas, and thought I'd play with it to see what I could make of it. The engine shot is first, and I quickly learned that none of my parts box stuff would fit the engine. Seems a bit undersized to me. Anyway, I did manage to scrounge a distributor for it, and wire it. I kitbashed a generator together, and used the parts box to come up with some pulleys up front. I made the generator belt from masking tape (the original unit from the kit is sitting in front of the engine), and finally I added a couple of fuel runners for the carbs. I also cut off what looks like the starter from off the side of the engine and replaced it with a chrome unit. Supposedly, the real car had ten carbs on it, though most folks believe only a few were actually plumbed up. The pipes on the kit should face forward somewhat, not sideways, and they were polished brass, not chrome, as are other parts on the kit. The real car (based on facts from MunsterKoach.com) claims the engine is a 289 Cobra bored out to 425.
