Grafted the front clip of the '50 Olds to the AMT Fleetline body.

That brings up a good (somewhat off-topic but close) question on the NASCAR version. Some people say the Buck Baker Olds was a different model- a coupe instead of a two door (or vis versa).  And, other pics I have seen show his car as a '50 fastback version.  Is the kit OOB a coupe or two-door, and anyone know for sure which version Baker actually drove in '50?

Decided to paint the aircan red to liven up the otherwise monochromatic engine bay.

I used strip styrene to add the chrome trim to the door and rear fender. The stone shield on the rear fender was pounded out of sheet brass and it was not easy to make it fit.I will have to add putty to smooth it out.It too much longer than I anticipated!

The decals are noyt very good with almost no adhesive despite being dunk in water for a few seconds.i had to put some Future on them to make them adhere.

Ran into a problem with the tires. The whitewalls flaked off when I installed the rims.I prefer the Monogram method of providing a separate plastic whitewall insert.I will use my circle template and Tamiya white to airbrush the problem away.
