That's Day Cab.  He is still around.  He posts on another model magazine's forum that is more friendly towards big rig modelers.

I would be interested in checking a truck related forum.
Though I only have a Revell Peterbuilt kit in my stash, I have questions about mid 1960s era IH and Dodge trucks and a forum that may have members who can point me towards information on trucks of that era would be of interest.
I'd appreciate it if you would post names and links of such forums.

Pawel,

Unfortunately, I obtain a "forum does not exist " at the link you provided.

A shame the guy didn't return here for a visit during the last year.  He might find member interaction on this forum has improved.

It would have been nice to see some of that builder's truck models.

Hello!

It used to show a model of a rig (tractor + trailer), done up with nice detail by a man knowing what he is doing. After few days he destroyed all of his post here and that was it. I asked him what's th matter? He told me those forums are "not his cup of tea" - probably Manny scared him off - and went on to run his own truck forum, here's the link I got from him then, don't know if it still works:

http://modeltrucksforum.boards.net/index.cgi

Hope it helps, have a nice day

Paweł

Gotta admit, all that real chrome really blends well with white tiresWhistling

tankerbuilder

Hey Spru - ce !

I just have to wonder where he got the wide whitewalls for that sucker .They cover the tires so well even the black didn't show in the white - out !

Nawwwwww...............from what I understand, those turn of the century cars had tires made from natural rubber....................
............the only reason car tires are black is kuzz folks started to add carbon to the rubber during manufacturing ................check these car photos of
 1907 Thomas Flyer
1913 Stanely Steamer
1903 Ford.
and look at the color of the tires

I hope we didn't scare the fella who posted originally off, this is just to much fun though. Ya can never have to much rust, however the pristeen vintage would undoubtedly be overshadowed with the implication of anything short of the whiteout he ( or she ) dramatically displayed here.

Maybe it's the lack of lighting?

Excellent scale effect of RPM's new stealth paint line.

Nice.  I didn't see that before at a place that wasn't there when I didn't go.  I didn't have my glasses on so maybe I did but I don't remember if I remember.

Nothing ever fits……..and when it does, its the wrong scale.

To make mistakes is human.  To blame it on someone else shows management potential.

First practical application of an active type of stealth design applied to a model kit........HmmToast

Best part of it all is that when placed on display,  SWMBO doesn't know he bought another kit................Whistling
