Thank you and others for the comments. Both were done with Tamiya paints from rattle cans.
... and could you please remove the bars from my windows now.....

Now ;
Speaking of boats .This auld phart made that mistake once . Had to Lift the House and destroy one basement wall to get the darned thing out . Sure had a lot of fun with that boat though .
Wow, they're BOTH stunning!!! Gorgeous!!
J.RovirosaFantastic! I've got the 1/24(?) version of the Carerra GT that I can't wait to start.
Both the 1/12 and 1/24 are very nice models. Have fun with your build and please post some photos as you progress. Have you decided on a paint scheme yet?
OUtstanding models and beautiful paint!!
Man, they really shine!
Sprue-ce Goose Maybe the insurance agents have only heard of guys saying they have home built boats in their basements
... well, she eventually came to grips with the Porsche and Ferrari, but was really stumped when I mentioned the M1 Abrams...
Thanks to everyone for all the comments. I had thought this thread was dead, but it was resurrected on Halloween eve,... how appropriate.
Those look great!
Mike
pordoi "Super cool! Just think of the insurance savings from not owning the 1:1 cars...." Yeah, but you should have seen the look on my insurance agent's face when I told her that I had a Porsche and a Ferrari in the basement.... Don

Really nice, Auto Show finishes on those cars.
A shame no one makes realistic scale "models" to pose with the cars and an equally realistic scale audience to drool over the cars.
Wow! I'm not into car models at all but those look pretty bad a** to me!

Cute little volkswagon.
It would be fun to tell this insurance agent that I have a mid-60s-vintage Rolls Royce and a tornado chase vehicle in my apartment.
"Whaddya mean 'Who's flying the plane?!' Nobody's flying the plane!"
WOW!!
Super cool! Just think of the insurance savings from not owning the 1:1 cars....
Great paint jobs!
Cool cars...., will I ever get to sit behind the wheel of one? ... unlikely. Can I afford one? No way!!...., unless we're talking kits in 1:24 and/or 1:12 scale. And even then, the Tamiya 1:12 kits can cost a pretty penny (actually, many pretty pennies...). So this will probably be as close as I'll ever get. First off, the Tamiya 1:12 version of the Porsche Carrera in black...
And the LaFerrari, of which only 499 were made... This is the 1:24 Tamiya kit...
