And why is the commentary split into above and below picture, sometimes in mid word?

Ask me about Speedway Decals
Best build I've seen of this. Excellent job! Love it.
Great job! Those bubble top canopies would make things pretty warm for folks in the summer...
AHA ! !
One of my all time Favorite show cars .Saw it with my own baby blues .Nice Job !
Did Ed Roth do the "Rat-Fink" stuff? He was a top car customizer in the 50s and 60s. Nice job on the model. Did you use a pearl white paint? Are the scallops and pinstripes decals? Is the kit a remake of the old Revell kit?
Thank you all for the compliments.
T.B. I've always assumed your eyes were brown, now I know better.
ranger: Ed Roth was the creator, as can be seen in the top pictures box top. I used Tamiya Pearl White TS-45 over the white plastic of the kit. The scallops and pinstripes are the decals supplied with the kit. The kits copyright is 2010, but its a remake of the 60's original.
OKAY :
Watch it there !
I always have had them there old blues, besides the ladies like them ! . More the better to see all these gorgeous models with .
Yes !
Ed Roth , besides being the most awesome painter in So. Cal . did All the "Rat Fink " stuff too .
I had an artistic friend who would put on any of his custom work a "rat fink" and a ladybug. They were his signature mark.
Nice job on the Bandit and thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I'd forgotten about the whole Rat Fink genre.
You're dating yourself Greg, that Rat Fink genre was before my time, and I'm getting old. It's strange that its not being done anymore. In the 60's there were all kinds of kits on rods. They are being reissued, "the Black Widow" is now out. But I can't think of any new rods being done.
You're right. But I wasn't old enough to understand anything about the genre, I just thought the cars were neat. I didn't even realise they were modeled after actual show cars. I had no idea about Ed Roth.
My first read of this thread the other morning sent me on a quite pleasant research trip on the Bandit and it's creator. So thanks for that too.
Very cool!I also built it years ago and had to float the large decal in the rear onto the body.
