My first car was a 1968 Firebird. The plan was for me and my dad to fix it and it would be my car in college.
Well the car is still not running more than 15 years later, haha.
But now that Revell started making my beloved first car, I decided to make a model based on how I am going to build the real car.
What I want to do is to make the car look all original, but with modern technology, so I will add EFI, disk brakes, rack and pinion steering, 4 link rear, et cetera.
So I started prepping the model, I found that its pretty decent in the details, EXCEPT the chassis, I had a 69 Camaro kit and compared and the Camaro kit is way more detailed, so I am going to switch the chassis parts.
I started detailing the door panels and dash and my first impression after years of not building models: man my hands arent as steady as they used to be (hopefully its just that I am out of practice)

I used the seats from a 98 Firebird model and made them look like the originals (which is what I really am going to do with the 02 seats I got)
I have been thinking about putting another coat of satin black on the middle section and dry brushing it to see if I can get the "comfortweave" looking texture. We will see
