Revell Bentley 4.5L Blower (Complete)

Nice bit of the ol' Bently buildin'  Dave.

You   covered all the bases  and brought home a fine model of a ledgeddary machine.

Finished the Bentley :)

I had a number of issues with the final build. Namely, the wheel arches are so flimsy that two of them broke (the support arms). So they are now a little wonky, but I put it down to the pot holes in the road.

I also tried a wash for the first time, not sure if it is too dark, but I like the effect.

Yep, I will try a wash. This model has me doing a number of things for the first time. All good learning experience.

Looks good so far Dave. A light wash on those cooling fins on that ,I'm assuming that's the blower, in front of the radiator would help to bring out that detail some.

Just a small update today. Did a little work on the steering wheel and front grill. It is starting to take shape now:

A bit more progress. Started on the dashboard:

Added the decals and painted some of the details:

My first attempt at dry brushing on the seat. Pleased with how it came out:

Fitted the body around the seats and dashboard:

Then installed the floor with pedals and gear stick. Gear stick was way too big so had to break it in half and sand it down a bit. The top of the stick came right up to the dashboard which just didn't seem realistic:

Installed front seats. Very cosy in here:

Then did a test fit:

Looking good.  That subject also has been done in nice kits in 1:32 and 1:12!

Thanks Duster. I am still practicing with it as I have a tendency to be a bit heavy with the paint rather than a few light coats. 

Great Start on the Bentley.

You seem to have a good "grip" on useing the airbrush.
