Hi,

That looks great.  It could easily be mistaken for a full size car.  I can't believe how quickly you were able to build it.

Oh man, that is one good looking car and a great looking  model. I love the orange color.

BMW had real problems with the frames of the early Z cars. The frame of the Z8 is cast aluminum. The frame at the front shock towers permanently distorts and bends if the car hits large bumps, such as a big pothole. This causes the hood to get wedged against the front fenders. The torque from the engine of the M version of the Z3 can snap the spot welds that fasten the differential to the underpan of the car. If not repaired the differential could fall to the pavement. The old Triumph TR6 had a similiar issue.

Your comments and questions are always welcome.

Wow, Fred, that does almost look real! That color is gorgeous too!

I didn't know any of that, Johnny. That seems like some serious miscalculations on BMW's part.

If there are any shows near you, and you get the chance to go, try it. I guarantee you'll like it and you definitely have a shot at an award. You'll get a chance to meet a lot of fellow modelers and talk about how-tos. The vendor tables are great too but be careful to keep a tight hold on your wallet. Wink
