Looking for a small block chevy engine, complete
Posted by goldhammer on Thursday, August 10, 2017 2:06 PM

I picked up the old Daisy Duke CJ-7 to build for a friend who has one.  Opened it up and it has the 4 cyl.  He had planted a SBC in his.

If you have a complete engine sprue(s) in the spares box, and are willing to let it go, let me know the particulars via PM

Thanks

Art

Will this work?  It can be built stock or blown.  Block and tranny.  You can strip the chrome or paint over it.  PM me and we can work out the details.

Deal closed, Thanks Route 62

Worked next door to your avatar birds in '73. Other side of the ramps on the BUFF's there.  Was fantastic to watch them taking off, especially at night.

There are some aftermarket engines available. I believe Gibson was one source.  Try google.

Good luck on finding a Ross Gibson engine that won't cost you a fortune there Dan. Ol' Ross died a couple of years ago and almost all of those engines have been snaked up. I did manage to catch a good deal on a Chevy Rat engine last year but his unbuilt engines are a rarity on the market these days. Places like Ted's Modeling and B-N-L resins are good places to try nowadays.
