I have a 68 Vette I am working on now and they askto gold tint some of the chrome plated engine parts how can I do this? Do I just use acrylic gold and paint them?
You could but I'd be tempted to airbrush a super light coat of Alclad II Gold over the chrome plating. Which engine parts are you working with that the gold tint is being called out for Dean?

I use Testors Gold enamel in the little square bottles. I brush it on. It covers good and sticks great.
Give it a try. I think you'll like it.

Is it a factory stock build?

Hmmm;
Personally , I would spray them with a coat of candy Gold over the chrome . Testors has a rattle can that color .

I have done just that, and it worked fine. Dial the paint flow way back so you get a semi-transparent coat.
