Greg

Should the OP stop back by for some reason, have you any comment about kit/fit quality? You never said a word. I just started mine and I'm about to pull my hair out joining two cylinder head halves.

I'd just love to hear what you might have to say.

I thought you should have an award just from looking at your build pics. I now think you should have a melal of valor or something.

thanks mate the kit quality is average for the year it was produced , seams , little flash and poor fit but then its a old tooling so expected and alot too fit into a small space for the engine , had too force the engine parts in and in that proccess knocked other parts off as is tight in the frame for all them parts lol

Thank you very much for you reply. I didn't realize Revell Germany used old molds, thought it was all new stuff. Doh!

I have figured out by seeing a bit of your work that you are a master modeler indeed. I suspect I'm in for a handful.

The box does say skill level 5. I thought that was me, not so sure now. Smile

Freekin' WOW!!! This is jaw dropping stuff. How did you tint the exhaust? I usually use Tamiya Smoke (X-19) on my chrome but this has a different look to it.

it wast the Alclad HotMetals mate , sprayed at 2 psi fine coats till i got the look i wanted

Greg

I just ordered one of these and it is entirely the OP's fault. Haven't bought a kit in well over a year.

I hear what your sayin' there Greg. I haven't really bought much since last year myself. Hell I really don't need anything.

Me too. I think I have over 10 kits in my stash, and for me being the world's slowest builder, I too have no need for more.

I may have seen tute videos on using Alclad colors to tint exhaust on Alclad's site? By gosh, they are out there somewhere.
