Thanks for the kind words.   Only caution on this kit is there's bits that go on the finished body after painting.  A bit unnerving.   Otherwise another Tamiya gem.

Thanks,

John

Very impressive job on this one John!!! I've seen this kit around on the market and have always liked the look of it.

Superb keavdog! Our youngest son has bought me this kit for fathers day, so now I must try and build it! Thanks for sharing.

Yep, looks fast standing still and with mercedes engineering...nice.  I would love to take this on the track for a day.

Thanks,

John

Now that's different. Great looking beast. I see the street version of these in Naples all the time.

Calling this done.  Nice kit - lot's of decal work.  And, callouts to paint things semigloss black that later have carbon fiber decals...some not so easy to paint.  Just more reinforcement to review assembly more before building.  Also decals on the semigloss finish Tamiya TS-100 leaves some of the decals shining a bit.  A better modeler would figure that out.  Anyhow - very nice kit.  I screwed a couple things up as usual, but I like the overal finish.

Thanks,

John

She's coming along.

Sure is. Nice-looking car, looks like a good kit.

Nice that you're open to a foreign race car.

I had a street version Mercedes AMG years back. '03 maybe. Solid car, drove it way too long (13 yrs I think, never came close to keeping a car that long). I don't suppose it would stand up now, but in it's day it was pretty quick. It wasn't quite as sexy looking as yours.

I drive American cars - my track cars are a 2009 Dodge Charger pushing 760 RWHP and a 2013 Boss 302 Laguna Seca for the twisties.  But this sexy *** has me thinking... so I'm doing a build of the kit to dip my toe in the international waters.

Applying Alclad to race cars!

She's coming along.  For a curb side kit it's a lot of work.

Thanks,

John
