Nice work. My uncle had a Vespa and rode it to work. That was near 50 years ago. When my Uncle wasn't looking, my cousin commandeered it to buzz around the neighborhood. My cousin was a brave sort because if caught, he'd get a good beating by my beady eyed uncle.

I have that kit in my stash.   I picked it up at the flea market at HIDS a couple of years ago.  It had been started, and had a really crappy paint job.  I will have to strip it and refinish.  I hate that messy job, but I guess I should just bite the bullet and complete it.  I need something like this thread to get it into the bench queue.

I can practically smell the oil and burnt exhaust.

Actually, i think you might be right. I used to be a Scooter Boy back in the 80's, had a few Vespa's. The lack of the foot brake got me thinking this was older. But checking the website, i think its the 2014 model. Shows how they have changed since i last rode one.
