OK Tom, there is a help section at the top of the forum, that will advise you how to transfer photos to forums.

Hi Pat W,

I'm new to these forums and I don't know how to insert photos yet.  Technologically deficient I guess.

PatW just wanted you to know that I finished the "Torque Trike" last night and it was the most fiddly of the 5 trikes that I've built so far.  The "Cobra Chopper"is next for me.

Tank-Builder, did you see that Atlantis is rereleasing 3 of Tom Daniels' kits this year?  If they sell well hopefully the "Paddy Wagon" and the "Ice T" will follow.  I've been on a Tom Daniels" kick myself the last couple of years.  I try to pick them up at model contests in the vendors" area or at swap meets.

Thats cool Pat.  Looks like a fun project - I did a few Tom Daniel kits some time ago and they really are fun.  My favorite was the red baron.

Thanks,

John

Thanks guys for your comments. I only have this one, being in the UK you don't see too many and if you do they want very high prices, for me anyway!

Tank-builder, I agree with you about the Tom Daniels' kits.  I have all six of these "trick trikes" and I see a similarity between some of them and some of Tom Daniels' designs.  The cab of the Tiki Trike looks very close to the cab of the "Trantula" and the cab of the Mailbox Trike looks like the Beer Wagon's cab.  The "Pie Wagon" kit has decals for a taco delivery car and that can go with the "Taco Trike".

I like it. It reminds me of the old Popper Chopper I once built as a kid way back when.

Good job!

Thanks TJS. Yes I use spray cans, spraying both colours at the same time, one is enamel the other an acrylic. I tried the red clear (rear tail lights) brush on a couple of years ago on chrome parts, red, orange and blue and they all came out very well.

Excellent build Pat!  I love the color fading and the red finish on the wheels and axle.  I just finished the Milk Trike myself this summer.  I've also completed the Taco Trike and the Mailbox Trike so far.  The Tiki Trike is presently on my workbench.  These are fun builds.

In this kit there are about six options of decals around the trike idea. I have chosen the Cream Cycle set and used clear red on various parts of the build to create an anodised finish. The ice cream decals on the back are nail art decals. The steering works  well although carefully!
