AMT/ERTL made some back in the early '70s of what were then new tractors and some implements.

A few years back they reissued their John Deere tractor and backhoe. Both are in 1/24 or 1/25.

Heller of France made a '80's(?) MF but that kit is very hard to find.

There's no 44-40 kit that I know of.

All there is is die-cast metal models and no kits from Ertl and a few other companies.
Check your local JD dealer for those or online.  For others, check the local AGCO or New Holland dealers.

I remember being hugely disappointed in the Ertl JD 310 kit.

They had not bothered to articulate the arm piviot hydraulics, they pivioted, but there was no connection to the arm itself.  The pistons were molded on the outrigger arms in the upright position--but the rest of the bucekt and arm hydralic components were fully articulated.  The front end loader, though was fixed, no provision to pivot at all; was not even designed to be positionable.

Made a really poor comparision to the dumptruck body kit, or the CAT dozer kit.

What I would like to see is some really old farm equipment- steam threshing machines and early oil burners.  Kits, not die cast.

One of our TCAH members, Bob Steinbrunn, did scratchbuild a very nice antique John Deere tractor.  He came into a set of great scale drawings and other documentation on the tractor.

I can see that scale drawings would be the biggest hangup on scratchbuilding such machines.

Don !

Oh ! Ye of little faith ! Surely you have a J.D. Dealer in your area somewhere ? They would probably help you along if you ask nice . There are some places here in Texas where they have these things restored . You'd have to search and find , but I know they have to be out there .

Here's an idea .Google Steam Traction Machines 1865 to 1936 .I hope this helps .,    T.B.

Papa Deere is not going to release scale drawings of their equipment as there is money to be made on perpetuating the Green Machines.  That is just like Deere not releasing the software for obsolete euipment so people can fix their stuff.  People are only renting their equipment, not owning it according to Deere.

There is an obscure model company, Brassica from the Czech republic, that do a trio of Zetor farm tractors in 1/72.
