A Long overdue update:
Made quite a bit of progress over the last week. I'd say I've got around another day's worth of work, and it'll be complete. A bit of paint touch up is required on the chassis, and the SG black needs to be done on the cowl in front of the windshield, and the windshield needs the black shot on it as well.
Once the clear on the body and hood is cured, I'll be use some compound to smooth it out and then paint the black inside the body. Then the interior detail bits go on. Detail painting of the body's exterior parts and lense attachment will follow.
Then I'm done. This will officially mark the third kit I've ever finished in my life. The first two being built when I was 4 and 6 years old. Talk about a hiatus... 20 years. LOL.
I'll get a few pics uploaded in a bit.
Undershot of the chassis:
Detail shot of a front caliper and rotor. Rotor is painted with Alclad Aluminum and caliper is SG black w/white drybrushing on the "Corvette" lettering, both sides.
An overview of the chassis and interor tub
Completed engine bay
Interior detail shot. Note the shift pattern on the shift knob. A white pencil was used to accomplish the detailing. Red pencil was used in specific areas, but it's unlikely to ever be seen by anyone observing the model, much like many details I've done to it (alclad aluminum radiator core, etc)
The wheels. I think I got these right, it's SG Black topped with, once again, Alclad Aluminum
