I use Elmer's all the time, and I usually thin it about 1/3 with water and apply it with a paintbrush.

If you make a mistake, a little warm water will remove the paint and the flocking without hurting the paint underneath so you can try again.

Donny - I have used thinned Elmer's with great success. I would highly recommend that you experiment with a piece of styrene before you do the interior of the Ferrari. The key for me was thinning it enough that it would go on smooth and not run. It was a trial-and-error kind of thing, but I did eventually have very good results.

360 spider carpet / flocking application

i am working on tamiyas ferrari 360 spider and i have decided to install carpet on the floor for my first time. i have no one to guide me the right way, but the box instructions are pretty self explanatatory. however they say to use clear parts cement. i have plenty of clear parts cement, but i have a lot more elmers glue. i was wondering if i brushed on slightly thinned elmers glue, would it work the same? i cant see why it would work, but in the past the forum has been so helpful, so i thought that i should ask, to see if anyone has any suggestions or alternatives. thanks...
