For those of you not familiar with slot car racing's finer points, I would like to introduce you to 1/32 scale slot car racing in the 21st century... This car has a Slot.It light kit installed which has working head and tail lights, and when power is removed, the tail lights get brighter, just like the real cars. Pretty cool stuff!

This is a Slot.It Porsche 956.
I finished the Tropical Time Racing It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere Margaritaville 956 on Friday night, just in time for the 4 hour enduro on Saturday at SSR Lake Lanier in North Georgia. She ran like a barefooted tourist on a hot Key West street.
I painted her with Testors' MM Enamels, did the decals with the Testors Printable system, and clear coated with Testors as well. I tried the Tamiya acrylics for the first attempt, and it was disastrous. Luckily, plain blue Windex removes even dried acrylics and I was able to salvage the body and get a second chance.
I was pleased with the results, although I will say if you are going to use the printable decals, make sure you use a color other than complimentary colors on painted areas. Had I known that the blue would be so transparent, I would have gone with reds and oranges instead of the blues and greens on the sides. They kind of got killed by the yellow underneath.
