According to the coding that i've seen there isn't an actual change in the base color, but i'm not 100% positive. The millenium paint had a tinted clear coat that was optional. you can take the codes to any automotive paint shop and they can mix it for you depending on which system they use. Granted it probably won't be cheap. But here is a list of codes if you're interested.

Thanks for the information.  I am aware of the colors from GM on the Corvette.  The C5-R and the C6-R were special racing Corvettes that were built by Pratt and Miller.  I think the colors were special mixes for them.  I have sent them a message but no answer so far.  I was hoping someone here might have already researched this.

The C5R's were Millenium Yellow, and the C6R is Velocity yellow.

There is a difference between the two colors, albeit a slight one. At least to my eye.

I looked up the cars from several sources and it looks like the same shade of yellow to me.

Then entered a search for 2001 Corvette Yellow. It appears that the ultra high performance Corvettes were painted Millennium Yellow that year.To my eyes it looks like the same shade of yellow. As far as I can tell from my reading this was the only shade of yellow offered that year.

That being said, they could have mixed a custom yellow for these cars. You could possibly find some touch-up paint in Millennium Yellow at a Chevrolet dealer and try to match a color close to it. I have noticed at times the color remains the same and they just change the name of the same color.

I know this is not much help, but I will look for more information.
