I usually just set mine over the top of an aerosol can. Some bodies are a snug fit and don't need any help. If the body is a loose fit, roll up some wide masking tape and stick it to the top of the can and set the body on it. If the body is too tight I use a smaller diameter can. I also wrap the can with plain aluminum foil and fold it over top and bottom. Then the can doesn't have to be empty and I can pull the foil and wrap it again for the next project. That way I don't get loose paint dust in the paint.
Yeh, it's pretty low tech but it's the easiest way I've found to hold a body and turn it as I'm painting. With the can being round it's easy to hold and turn. As long as the body is secure you can turn it any direction you need.
