This is a model that i have been working on on and off for the last couple of years, doing a bit then shelving it then a bit more and so on. finally finnished it. loads of pigments went on this with various washes. i added wireing and detrimmed some chrome strips,flattened a tyre and so on. Sorry photos dont get up and close but my camera is shi*.I personally like the dandylion in the foreground,the type you pick and blew when you was a kid.It was done with copper wire ,paper cuts for the leaves and halloween cobweb for the seedball,CRAZY.
Bodge, that's AWESOME! You should know by now that I love old, rusted-up, broken down things, and you've nailed the look here! Nice finish, and really realistic!

Bodge,You're right - the camera is crap, but the model is just great.I've been restoring vintage cars for 25 years......and some of them have looked JUST LIKE that....you very accurately captured the look of an abandoned, neglected hunk of Detroit iron.Almost anybody can make them look like they just rolled off the assembly line....but to make them look like they've been in a field for 20 years? I don't think so.....Very nicely done - you really captured the realistic look of a rust bucket - very impressive.

It was an old, rusted car that looked like it sat next the the Titanic for a few years. Really, it was about like yours as posted here. Yours seems to be more of a dry rust, the Belvedere loked wet, or maybe fuzzy. It is a little hard to explain. While both are rusty, it is a different color and texture of rust. The chrome was in decent shape, which I think was about the only thing that was worth trying to save; it still had a shine to it once they removed some of the rust. There are a bunch of pictures online, just search on google for "Tulsa Belvedere" Also, I wish I was there for the tomb opening, but I was at work. It was at the convention center after they spruced it up a little.

I'm diggin' the drilled holes where the outside trim was scrapped. The moss/mold on that tree branch on the rear window is a nice detail touch as well.
Speaking about junkers and contests, what about a junker/beater comp?
