The guy across the road from my grandma is a husband and father to three young children, yet somehow he got past ther missus and "earnt" half a million dollars to get a red spyder.

Love the colour! What brand and build info?

This is the Fujimi kit painted with Tamiya Chrome Yellow and Tamiya clear, polished and waxed. Interior was done with a combination of waterbased paints and pastels to simulate leather!!!

Wow, looks great!

Any chance we can get a look at those interior shots you were referring to?

I like the way you did the interior, it turned out great.  Is that where you used the powders, to shade the seats? If so it turned out great. The rest of the car looks great too, especially the paint.  Nice build!

Cruz,

I'm about to work on a Porsche GT3 with the same color and finish....since I'm new to the whole buff and polish technique, can you give me a quick run-down on the process and what products work well.

Outstanding, as usual, cruz--you've really got an enviable style and skill! Quite impressive!

Ditto that on the finishing waxing rundown---I'm about ready for that step on two of my first car models here; any help would be greatly appreciated!

DO you wax as an absolute last step?

Yes my friend, try  to learn using a polishing kit, these include polishing cloths from 3200 up to 12,000. Personally, when I am done with the polishing cloths I like to use Maguiar's wax cleaner, this product does 2 things at the same time, it waxes and eliminates any swirl and scratch marks left by the polishing cloths. Go out to any auto parts store and get yourself a chamois, not the cheap ones but the ones that cost at the least 15 dollars and take of your wax with that, you will not believe how nice this works!!!

I like using these pastels for detailing. Just rub off some of it on a piece of sandpaper and apply with a brush, just make sure that when you blow excess powder left behind after brushing that you dont accidentally spit on it, trust me, you will mess it up. Just build it up to your taste, it will truly bring out the interior details and give you that extra leatherly look.

Thanks, cruz; I won't argue with a master! Your results speak for themselves! Bow [bow]

A good chamois it is, and I'll look for that wax you recommend. I've already polished out my Charger with some Novus Plastic polish, and it looks pretty good. A good wax will shine it up nicely.

I appreciate the info!  Big Smile [:D]

The engine lid does not open, what I did instead of following the instructions, I did not glue the rear glass so it's removable for me to show the engine a bit better, not much to see there anyway, it is very simple. Color and paint, Tamiya Chrome Yellow w/ Odds and Ends clear!!! Thanks.

That looks great reminds me of the Revell F430 I did. How was the fit of the kit? I remember having the hardest time trying to get the darn windshield to fit flush which never happened and still irks me when I see the gaps.

Great job love the panel lines and wheels!!

Wel my friend, this is the Fujimi kit, it is a lot better than the Revell. Everything in this one fitted perfectly!!
