Laird Turner finished

Finished the Lindberg 1:32 Laird Turner.  A lot of work to get a nice model out of it, but I like the results.  The cockpit interior was discarded and scratch-built, and I replaced the "engine" with an Engines & Things resin Wasp.

Well, I did put the and bracketing that photo URL, but they seemed to get stripped out :-(  Guess I still don't have posting photos here figured out yet.

The image url needs to end in .jpg

You're also using a hosting venue that requires a Yahoo login to view.

Hi Don,

Let's see if I can be of assistance....

(1)  go to the Yahoo site where your pictures are and open one....

(2)  put your curser on it and RIGHT CLICK....  Choose "PROPERTIES"

(3)  highlight the URL, Right Click on the blue and choose "COPY"

(4)  Back at FSM in your thread, hit Reply to your first message....

(5)  above the text window you will see a "Filmstrip" icon that's two left of the Smiley...

(6)  click on the filmstrip icon and in the space where it says "Link to Media", put your curser, Right Click and choose "PASTE"

(7)  then click the "INSERT" button at the bottom and then "POST" and you'll be in business, sir!

Also, if you have more than one picture you'd like to post, don't close the FSM text window, go back to the yahoo page, and do the same process... when you return to your open FSM text window, below the last picture click your curser, then click the filmstrip icon and insert the other URL in it.... insert as many pictures you want before clicking POST, which will publish your message.

Hope this helps, and looking forward to seeing Roscoe's airplane! Smile

Take care,

Frank

Hi Don, sorry it didn't work... lets try it the manual way....

If you open the picture so you can see it big on your screen, RIGHT CLICK on the picture itself, a menu will appear... somewhere in that menu will be the word "Properties".... choose that, and in the properties window there will be the words: Address (URL)

NOTE: The URL for your pictures will begin with "http" and end with ".jpg"  or ".gif"     ** if it begins and ends with anything besides that you're not looking at the URL**

Highlight the URL, right click and choose COPY

In the text window at FSM, put your curser anywhere and Right Click... choose PASTE  (the URL will appear)

In front of the http type [ img ]  **REMOVE THE SPACES**

after the .jpg type [ /img ] **REMOVE THE SPACES**

Hope this helps,

Frank  Yes

Tried it again that way, and used the Preview function this time.  No go. I suspect that the problem is the Yahoo group is not an open group.  I could put it on my web site, but I am afraid I am nearing storage limit.  I wish FSM made it a little easier to post pics in this forum.

Don,

You're working on things that I personally find quite interesting and yet you have a hurdle to posting pics?

Might I suggest opening up a 'PhotoBucket' account? It's free and comes with quite a lot of bandwidth. It's also easy to use even for old fogies like us! (I'm into my second half a century.)Time

Sorry if this has become a sore subject but like I said- I'd love to see more of your work!
