Have you tried bobsairdoc.com ? I've found some very obscure 3-views there. You can download a PDF catalog for reference.

Which site? I belong to both, so let me know and I will contact the moderator(s). Sometimes it takes a day or two for them to reply, but I've never known them not to.

paintsniffer: I registered for the site, twice, but never received confirmation letter from the mod.    Guess they're not taking on new members.

There are two great Yahoo groups which cater to civil aircraft modelers:

Airliner Modeling Digest (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/airlinermodelling)

Wings of Peace (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wingsofpeace)

The latter group is devoted to civil aircraft of the 1919-1939 period, but both groups are a great resource. Members have a lot of photos, scale drawings, etc.)

Asking on Airliners.net used to be a good bet for information, until the site changed hands and lost its mind.. And they charge for admission.

I get excellent results asking on www.netairspace.gebenus.com It is a small, fairly new site, but it is most of the A.net brain trust, it is free to join, and you won't have a 13 year old MS flight sim captain feeding you wrong information (the site is heavily populated by airline pilots, mechanics with, and operations people a smathering of real enthusiasts). Also, the site is very newbie friendly in my experience.

They are also a good place for military av questions.

Excuse me.. Is that an Uzi?

There was a query in another thread about where to find references for such aircraft. I didn't want to take that thread off on a tangent, and felt the question was good for its own thread.

Anyway, Paul Matt drawings were always a neat source, and two volumes of Matt's work are still available from the publisher of Model Airplane News.  Each issue of the later has an ad for their pubs, including the two Matt volumes.  There was another Matt volume by another publisher in the not too distant path that might still be available.

Pics are much easier. I have yet to search Google pics for an aircraft subject without finding at least a few pics.

Used copies of Matt books and Wylam drawings are sometimes available from online used book stores, though these generally are pricey.
