Wasn't sure of posting this in the civil aircraft section since its not a
model, but it is a aircraft, and I want to share it to you guys.
At
the Calgary Aero space museum I've been volunteering for a few months
helping restoring there aircrafts project. Right now, we are trying to
finish this old Auster MK 6 aircraft build in 1946, was used as a civil
trainer, crop duster and glider tower, but after six crashes, the Auster
was disassemble, and stored for 30 years until the museum bought it and
is trying to reassembled it as a civil trainer.
Its been about 2 years since the project started, and the Auster is almost done, all that is left is painting the nose cover and installing the engine. The plane will remained half naked, to show off the interior and the frame work.
I was hoping of getting it done by Christmas, but it will probably take longer, this is of course harder to make than a scale model, but just as fun.
